Profile: The gateway building for the southern campus had to be impressive, welcoming executives, alumni and visitors to the University of Texas. So the AT&T Center is a combination of advanced technology and sophisticated hospitality-with 300 hotel rooms--housed within a residential executive learning environment. LEED Gold certification was awarded.


The meeting facility contains seven tiered classrooms and four flexible classrooms, a 300-seat amphitheater, multiple break-out rooms, conference rooms, private offices, and an 800-seat ballroom. Just steps away from the Capitol, the hotel space features stylish, comfortable rooms with full traveler conveniences. Dining is available in four restaurants, including a casual lounge, café, and a premier fine-dining facility that caters special events. This project also included a 600-space below-grade parking garage.


Services: DataCom Design Group provided cutting-edge IT designs, including AV presentation systems, immersion learning facility, security/access control, CATV and wireless throughout, and seamless control systems for guest, instructors, concierges and staff. Acoustical and noise containment design for private and public areas.
