George R. Brown Convention Center, City of Houston, Texas

Profile:This project involved the entire Convention Center District: renovations, additions and improvements to the Convention Center and construction of the connected Parking Garage. The 2,000-space garage structure includes a lobby for the coming hotel, a lobby for the office floors, and shell spaces for amenity levels, retail areas and additional commercial offices. 


Improvements to the Convention Center include the relocation of Houston First offices, addition of a new main lobby that connects all the exhibit halls, and the conversion of exterior spaces for two restaurants and a dining terrace. The GRB also features sky bridges with the garage and the existing hotel, and a fully connected new plaza for outdoor events.
