Intel, Design and Engineering Building, Austin, Texas

Profile: Intel Corporation is an American global technology company and the world's largest semiconductor chip maker, based on revenue. It is the inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors, the processors found in most personal computers. Intel planned a high-rise office building in downtown Austin with a complex infrastructure design to support most communication technologies. The design for the facility was completed on a fast track schedule. The building spaces include seven labs, 27 conference rooms, and 1500 offices.

 

Services: Our scope of work included design for the equipment room layout, three communication rooms, a 28,000 SF, Tier III, N+1 Data Center supporting 9,000 servers, seven labs, and 27 conference rooms. The design called for a flexible infrastructure to support both secured and non-secured areas for more than 1500 offices.
