Profile: Our Data Center expert was the lead designer for the new Tier III Data Center at MD Anderson's new administration building, Mid Campus One. The new 26-story building consolidates tenants from eight different lease spaces, and will accommodate projected growth.

The Data Center has N+1 system redundancy for continuous operation in the event of a natural disaster or emergency situation. The scope of work included the expansion of the critical power systems in order to provide adequate redundancy. The Data Center is comprised of 12,000 SF of raised floor area, 5,000 SF of computer equipment, and 10,000 SF for administrative support.


Services: DataCom Design worked closely with MD Anderson for the technology verification, the design of the Data Center, and also assisted the Design/Build team in developing the design approach, communication layouts, and the construction budget.
