Sysco Distribution Center

Profile: Sysco distributes foods to one in every three restaurants in the United States. In order to get the food safely to the correct venue at the right time, Sysco maintains a high-tech web of software, databases, scanning systems, and robotics. Sysco's supply-chain logistics are especially complicated due to the storage and handling requirements of the wide variety of foodstuffs and food-related products they deliver. Integral to the success of their operations, Sysco utilizes customized technology tools to execute individual logistical plans and delivery solutions.

This state-of-the-art Distribution Center is the first facility to be built to Sysco's new technical standards and specifications. The new Distribution Center is the model for subsequent facilities being built across the country in order to keep up with the demand for Sysco's food service supplies.
