Profile:The Total Skills Center manages the complete clinical skills training and exam process in a standardized patient environment. Students and practitioners work with life-like simulators on which they can safely learn clinical procedures such as IV insertion, physical exams, airway management, and resuscitation before treating real patients. Within the virtual reality learning environments, health care providers can practice advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization and colonoscopies. 

The facility includes a reception area, office suites, emergency bay, nursing station, control rooms, 12 standardized patient rooms, debriefing rooms, coordinator offices, faculty observation room, six Advanced Patient Simulation (APS) rooms, APS area control room, medicine room, operating rooms, birthing room, neonatal care unit, and six virtual reality pods.
